Same Creator or Different? asks a question that follows straight from the last: when different traditions name their god, are they pointing at one shared source under many names, or at genuinely different beings? It bridges multiple creators and the wider spiritual frameworks layer.
The perennial view
One influential answer is perennialism: the claim that the world's great traditions are climbing the same mountain by different paths, and that Brahman, God, the Tao, and Source are one reality described in different vocabularies. This view fits the mystics' oddly consistent reports and underwrites much of the map's even-handed, cross-traditional tone.
The distinctions that resist merging
But the map does not flatten real differences. Traditions disagree, sometimes sharply, about the nature and character of the divine, and honest respect means not pretending those differences away. The awakening's own twist — separating a true Source from lesser creator-gods — is itself a claim that not all "gods" are the same. The map holds the perennial intuition and the real distinctions in tension rather than forcing a verdict.
Same or different, the question trains a useful humility: it asks the seeker to hold their own name for the source lightly enough to recognise it, perhaps, in someone else's.
