The intuition behind it
History has its hinge moments — improbable turns, near-misses, coincidences that changed everything. The thread reads some of these as deliberate: interventions by advanced beings, or by humans reaching back, keeping the story on a chosen track.
What the map keeps and what it brackets
There is no evidence that history has been externally edited, and the map treats timeline steering as belief and thought-experiment rather than fact. What it honors is the real experience underneath — the felt sense that certain moments carry disproportionate weight, that some choices seem to matter at the scale of the whole.
